What usually gets in the way

  1. Product data in ten spreadsheets

Ingredients, allergens, nutrition values and EAN codes have to match everywhere: on the pack, on the web and at every chain.

  2. Resellers who email their orders

Orders arrive by email, phone and text and are typed in by hand. It takes time and goes wrong.

  3. A brand that isn't where people look

Shoppers search for recipes and where to buy. If the answer isn't on your site, they find someone else's.

  4. Traceability when something goes wrong

In a recall you need to know quickly which batches went to which customers. With paper and spreadsheets it takes hours.

What we can build for you

  • A website for the brand

Products, recipes and where to buy, on a website you update yourselves. Like the one we built for Taco Kings.

    About Websites
  • A portal for resellers

Shops and restaurants order, see their prices and download product sheets and images themselves.

    About Client portals
  • Product data in one place

Ingredients, allergens, nutrition values and EAN codes are kept in one place and used on the web, in the portal and on product sheets.

    About Business systems
  • Batches and traceability

Every batch is recorded from raw material to customer, so you see straight away what's affected if something has to be recalled.

    About Business systems
  • Orders to your accounts

Orders from the portal and the online shop go on to Fortnox, Visma or your ERP.

    About Integrations

Systems, standards and rules

Using something else? We connect to most systems that have an API.
GS1 and Validoo
Product information to the GS1 standard, which Swedish grocery retailers collect through Validoo.
Allergens and nutrition
Food information under EU Regulation 1169/2011, with the same details on the pack and on the web.
Traceability
EU food law requires you to know where each ingredient came from and where each product went, one step back and one step forward.
Fortnox and Visma
Orders, customers and invoices sync with your accounts.
EDI
Orders and invoices with chains and wholesalers in the format they require.
Staff register
Food wholesalers in Sweden must keep a staff register under the Swedish Tax Agency's rules.

How it works

  1. Prototype and design system

Tell us what you want to build and we'll make a clickable prototype and a design system for it. Free, so you see what you get before you decide. If a project doesn't need a prototype, we do a free audit or workshop instead.

  2. Needs, requirements and plan

We go through how you work today and what gets in the way. It becomes a requirements document and a plan where what makes the biggest difference gets built first, and a proposal with a fixed price per stage.

  3. Kickoff workshop

Us, you and the people who'll use it, in one room. We agree what's included and walk out with a plan and the first stage under way.

  4. Follow-up

We build in short rounds with a demo after each. After launch we follow up against the goals and improve what matters most.

More on how we work

Why a micro studio?

A food company often needs both a brand people notice and a system that keeps the products in order. With us, the same three people do both, so the website and the product data fit together from the start.

We are three people: Christos Potamitis, Olof Öhrn and Max Rosberg Somerlock. The people you meet in the first meeting are the same three who design, build and run it afterwards.

  • The same people all the way

Olof is your contact from the first meeting through the whole project, and the three of us work so closely that what you tell us reaches the people who build.

  • Quick decisions

Questions get quick answers and decisions get made in the meeting. You talk directly to whoever can answer, not someone who has to go and ask.

  • A fixed price per stage

The project is split into stages with a fixed price for each. You know what the next step costs before it starts, and you can change direction between stages.

  • A network for the rest

What we don't do ourselves, such as IT operations and infrastructure, is done by hand-picked partners. You still have one contact: us.

It also sets a limit, and we're honest about it. We take on a few projects at a time, and if we're not right for yours, we'll tell you on the first call.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes. Products, ingredients, allergens and nutrition values are entered once and then shown on the website, in the portal and on product sheets. Change a recipe and it changes everywhere.
  • Validoo is GS1 Sweden's product information service. Swedish grocery retailers collect item data from it, so that's often where your details need to be right first.
  • The EU food information regulation lists fourteen groups of allergens that must always be declared, such as gluten, milk, eggs and nuts. On pre-packed food they must be emphasised in the ingredients list.
  • Yes. Resellers sign in, see their own prices and range, place orders and download images and product sheets. The order then goes on to your finance system or ERP.
