Frequently asked questions
- Time tracking is when employees record how much they have worked and on what. The data is used for payroll, for the invoice when time is billed, and to follow up projects.
- A time clock records when someone starts and stops. A timesheet also shows what the time was spent on, such as which project or customer. Many companies need both.
- Yes. Approved hours can become invoicing data in Fortnox, and payroll data can go on to your payroll system.
- An off-the-shelf app works well if you work the way it assumes. When you have your own rules for allowances, projects or approval, or want time in the same system as the rest of the business, it is often simpler to build the tool around you.
Guides
- How much does a new website cost in 2026?A new website costs anything from US$19 a month on a site builder to several hundred thousand kronor for a custom multilingual build. At 100–200 hours and SEK 900–1,300 an hour, in line with most suppliers on the Swedish government framework, a small business site comes to about SEK 90,000–260,000 excluding VAT. Templates, content, integrations and languages decide the rest.
- What are ÄTA works (change orders) in Swedish construction?ÄTA stands for changed, additional and omitted work (ändrings-, tilläggs- och avgående arbeten): work that is changed, added or removed compared with what was agreed at the start of a construction project. ÄTA should be ordered by the client, priced according to the contract and documented when it happens. Otherwise it is hard to get paid for.
- What is a personalliggare (staff register) in Sweden?A personalliggare is a register of everyone working at a workplace and when each shift starts and ends. The Swedish Tax Agency requires it in industries including construction and restaurants, and on construction sites it must as a rule be electronic. If it is missing or incomplete, the Tax Agency can charge control fees.
